St Kitts Nevis Ferry Schedule

Are you familiar with the St Kitts Nevis ferry schedule? Do you know how many ferries serve St Kitts and Nevis? Allow me to assist you with that information. Presently, five ferries - MV Caribe Surf, MV Caribe Breeze, MV Sea Hustler, MV Mark Twain and the MV Carib Queen (formerly owned by Government but now under private ownership) ply the seas between St Kitts and Nevis. Both MV Caribe Breeze and MV Caribe Surf are owned and operated by the same company M&M Transportation Services Ltd, as such, most times only one of the boats will ply the route. However, on occasion one will find both MV Caribe Breeze and MV Caribe Surf in operation. MV Sea Hustler and MV Mark Twain are operated by Wesk Agency Ltd. MV Sea Hustler also transports cargo and vehicles. The Sea Hustler also puts on shopping trips to neighbouring islands including St. Eustatius (Statia) and St Maarten. These trips are favourites for locals, but I am certain that visitors will enjoy them as well.

A new ferry service Sea Bridge St. Kitts Nevis that will link St. Kitts' South East Peninsula and Nevis' Cades Bay, was officially launched a few years ago Charlestown, Nevis. The core service will be the transportation of vehicles between St. Kitts and Nevis at an affordable cost. You may recall that the Sea Bridge St Kitts & Nevis Inc, the company that operates the new car ferry service was launched back on September 14, 2005.

I know you are anxious to view the St Kitts Nevis ferry schedule, however I just wanted to talk a bit about the journey between St Kitts and Nevis. The ferry crossing between St. Kitts and Nevis is described by many as one of the most scenic ferry crossings in the eastern Caribbean. On average, the journey from Basseterre to Charlestown and vice versa on the MV Caribe Breeze, MV Caribe Surf, MV Mark Twain and the MV Carib Queen takes 45 minutes. On the MV Sea Hustler it takes a little longer, about an hour. Although I am no sailor, the boats rides on these ferries are for the most part smooth sailing. The ride does however get a little rough when the boats pass through the channel between St Kitts and Nevis, but then again that may just be because I'm no sailor, and feel the slightest movement on sea. I must say however that the views of both St Kitts and Nevis from sea are so picturesque that I am usually more caught up in taking in the scenic vistas.
