The St Kitts 4X4 Truck Safari is an exciting Caribbean driving adventure along the back roads, sugar cane field paths and mountain trails in the Caribbean island of St. Kitts. On this St. Kitts 4x4 tour you will be driven in a former 4X4 British Army Troop Truck up through the mountains and will pass sugar plantations along the way.

Your St Kitts 4X4 truck safari will stop at strategic lookouts to allow you to be captivated by the breath taking views of St. Kitts and the villages below. The views that you will see are magnificent, a photographers dream if you ask me, so do remember to bring your cameras and camcorders along to capture the moments in vivid color. Continuing on, your Caribbean 4X4 driving safari drives through a section of St. Kitts' rainforest where you will see huge trees and will be able to observe the exotic flora and fauna. At a point in excursion, the St Kitts 4X4 truck safari reaches an elevation of about 2000 ft. It is here that your Caribbean 4X4 driving safari will stop to take you for a short stroll through the rainforest, where you will get a closer view of the tropical plants. You will hear the chirping of birds in the rainforest and if you are lucky, you may catch a glimpse of the shy green vervet monkey. After the short walk in the rainforest, you will return to the 4X4 British Army Troop Truck for an island picnic of tasty local snacks, fruits in season, and fresh homemade juices.

After the tropical island picnic, the St Kitts 4X4 truck safari winds its way back down the mountainside through the cane fields and rural villages until it reaches the Island Main Road. Then it heads on over to Lodge Plantation to explore the early 18th Century Great House, one of the earliest sugar plantation great houses on the island, and its beautifully landscaped tropical gardens. You will be able to enjoy a stroll along the many footpaths through the tropical gardens to observe the fruit trees, beautiful orchids and other tropical flowers. Various species of birds visit the gardens so you will want to keep your eyes open for them. A complimentary rum or fruit punch is served here so please do sit back, relax, sip your drink and enjoy the beautiful tropical surroundings.

On the way back to the starting point of the tour, the St Kitts 4X4 truck safari travels along the windswept Atlantic coast of St. Kitts, passing through rural villages and towns on the north eastern coast of St. Kitts.
